The book Alex got is definitely real. The problem is the price cuts.

If you\'ll take time to research news archives on the Internet, isa sa mga controversial points sa release ng DH is yung malalaking cuts na ginagawa ng mga bookstores sa Deathly Hallows, much much less than the suggeted retail price of the book. If you ask me, 30% sounds somewhat reasonable and OK; DH was pulled out in some stores in Malaysia because the books were being sold at less than 50% of the retail price. Ang alam ko, Bloomsbury (UK) and Scholastic (US) will simultaneously file lawsuits against these bookstores.

I might as well make a note for those who are planning to read....consider this a semi-spoiler, but I won\'t say anything:

Be forewarned that in the first few chapters, some characters will die (shouldn\'t come as a surprise since J. K. Rowling herself said that at least 2 characters will). And also, there will be more to come, so it might be better for you guys to read the book on a weekend para sulit sa oras. In fact, lalo lang kayong mabibitin kasi each chapter connects seamlessly to the next one (panay cliffhangers kasi), which is why you\'ll find yourself frustrated if you decide to stop reading and continue later.

I definitely agree, this one\'s going to be a children\'s lit classic---arguably, this is the best book in the series---so if you haven\'t read Deathly Hallows, borrow or get your copy now!

Hi Tracy, they're are many sites that you can choose from. I found an ebook at Scribd.com . But if I were you I’d buy the original copy. Please don’t buy any pirated stuff. (Well in this case, you’re not buying - just reading it.)

I bet many of you are still reading that Harry Potter book, eh? For those who don't know, I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter series.No, I am not part of Hogwarts Philippines, nor am I active in the Mugglenet or Leaky forums (but I do browse every now and then). I don't have anything against people who
constantly flood the message boards or dress up as Beauxbatons kids. It's just that to me, loving these series is a very personal thing.

Still, the book 1-5 made me laugh out loud (but not as much as I did reading books 6 & 7,I was depressed for, like, 8 hours after that ), cry and in the later chapters, I just couldn't put the book down. I felt like I couldn't read fast enough.All in all, it was worth to cry

I finally got a copy! My sister bought me the book while a friend gave me the PDF copy. Lol ^o^

Michaela, speaking of Hogwarts Philippines, hindi ko alam kung sila yung pumunta sa MoA na nakadress up as Hogwarts students to watch the newest HP flick, pero they rock! I love the outfit! Sana makabili din ako ng jacket tulad sa friend ko, a black hoodie with the crest of Harry's house.

And about the broomstick, i think it got dropped during the attack of Death Eaters on Harry and Hagrid... here's the excerpt:

Screams, a blaze of green light on every side: Hagrid gave a yell
and the motorbike rolled over. Harry lost any sense of where they

burst of green light. The owl screeched and fell to the floor of the
cage.

“No—NO!”

The motorbike zoomed forward; Harry glimpsed hooded Death
Eaters scattering as Hagrid blasted through their circle.

“Hedwig—Hedwig—”

Yup, ganong ka-brutal ang nangyari sa HP7. First few chapters pa lang, some of the things/persons who mattered to Harry were gone so quick: Hedwig, the Firebolt and in that same scene, Mad-eye Moody. Kaya nga common sa mga reviews na nabasa ko, sinasabing \\\"this book is not for the weak of heart\\\"
